WHAT ARE YOU SIGNING UP FOR?
You are signing up for a four-year high school program in which you will be placed into medical based classes and a medical pathway of your choose: Sports Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Each pathway will guide you through a set of courses and open opportunities based on your interests. Students admitted into the Academy are expected to be committed to helping others, and be well respected individuals on and off campus.
IS THE ACADEMY RIGHT FOR YOU?
The Academy is targeted towards students who are interested in helping others, especially through the application of sciences. Students must be willing to communicate, work outside of their comfort zone, and contribute time to the Academy. MSA classes will require effort and diligence. Although students and teachers are there to help, students must be on top of their work due to class rigor.
On the year of admission, students must either be freshmen or sophomores. Students applying as juniors or seniors will be ineligible for admission.
Students must have adequate
attendance in junior high school and high school. Students who do not
maintain their attendance will be removed from the Academy.
Incoming freshmen and sophomores must have at least a 3.0 GPA in order to be considered for admission. This can be found on your school transcript.
Print a copy of your attendance and bring it to Valencia High School office or email it to Mr. Monteleone. This can be found on Infinite Campus, and it can be acquired from your school registrar.
