THE BEGINNING
Our Origin
The Medical Science Academy could not have started if it was not for the hard work of the Valencia High School Sports Medicine Program. 13 years of students have created a foundation for the formation of this academy.
How it all started...
In the Fall of 2017, Valencia High School's Sports Medicine program partnered with Henry Mayo Hospital, SCOI, Vargo PT, Sarah Erhsam ATC and Chad Peters ATC at COC, and DJ Jahng, “DJ”, of So Cal PT to teach their students to become advanced student trainers. With this collaboration came a student-led program where our students were the work force.
